Competition Factsheet
Focus i.ART aims to promote projects at the intersection of art and science that address societal challenges and examine creative forms of expression in light of their transformative potential.
Eligibility No age or geographic restrictions apply. Preference will be given ceteris paribus to partner arrangements and teamwork. In the case of team submissions, only one person is to be named as a project contact.
Works Individuals or teams wishing to apply are limited to only one submission. The work in question is expected to be a recent or current work. Any currently unfinished works must be capable of final realization in the form of an exhibition or performance on the occasion of the award ceremony. Works that have already received a public award are not eligible. AI-generated works or parts thereof are to be designated as such.
Submission format A single PDF file (≤ 20 MB) including documents and information in the following order:
• The completed submission form (see website) with names, addresses and declaration of originality
• Participant details (maximum of 1 page per person, 3 pages in case of larger teams)
• Description of the work, including text and images (3-page maximum)
• Verification of entry-fee payment
Prize The award-winning individual or team shall receive prize money in the amount of EUR 5,000. The jury may select more than one winner, in which case the prize money will be split.
Copyright Those who participate in the competition by submitting their works must be the owners of those works as per copyright law. This notwithstanding, i.ART shall be authorized to display the works on its website and in any promotional materials it uses to make information about the award available to the public. Submitted works shall remain the property of the participants at all times, even if the iART Award is conferred to them. All participants are responsible for the accuracy of the statements they make about their works. In case of misrepresentations, iART shall be entitled to refrain from conferring the award.
Jury The jury is comprised of the members of iART’s executive committee. All participants shall accept the legitimacy of the jury ‘s decision. They will be notified of this decision in writing from 30 August 2025. No legal recourse applies.
